King Aurthur Does it Again!
Love this book, tells the why am I doing this, and really explains it in real world language. Also give alternatives if you don’t have the latest and greatest tools. Great section on Flat breads from all over. Great on Sourdough, it doesn’t cover everything, but I plan to eat my way through the entire book. Try each recipe at least once. I have recently purchased several bread books, but this is by far my favorite. Great pictures, *drool* and illustrations on how to do bread folds, etc. And places to go to see it more illustrated as in videos etc. It is just a good book. Well written. Well thought out. So buy it, and have fun going through each recipe. Even Pullman and everyday breads.

Beautiful and informative
I just sat down with my coffee and paged through every page of this cookbook, making note of my next several bakes along the way! The Big Book of Bread is beautifully done. Gorgeous pictures and easy to follow instructions, and several QR links to videos, too. I am in love with this book. Also, I saw one review complain that there were duplicate and missing pages in the Fancy Breads chapter. Thankfully, that was not the case in mine. I would encourage them, or anyone that runs into such, to exchange the book for another copy and enjoy.

Somewhat disappointed
While I found several recipes I want to try I was disappointed by how many of them called for making your own sourdough starter. As such none of those recipes can be made on a whim. Not unless you have a starter and have kept it going. I donât and wonât as I donât make bread often enough to make that worth my time. So, for me the book was a little disappointing.

Repeat, repeat, skip, back up, repeat, repeat, missing, lost, repeat pages
Wow. Simon and Schuster made a mess of publishing this book. I have triplicates, duplicates and missing pages through the entire book. Very odd. Going back and a new copy is on its way. I hope this is a one off bad copy, but I see at least one other review with the same problem, so do check your pages ALL the way through. I stopped counting at 5 repeats and know at least 10 recipes are missing. No need to count more to know I need a new copy. Called King Arthur and they are aware of a problem and were nice enough to offer to send me missing recipes by email. Totally a publisher issue. What I did see of the book looks great. Even all 8 repeats of flour and corn tortillas. lol. Looking forward to a clean copy. :).
