I make it a point to read the bad reviews before buying anything to try and get the whole picture. I almost didn’t buy this based on some of the poor reviews but thought I would give it a shot and am glad I did. Some of the negative reviews are a bit odd on this. For one, I have never seen a more clear and yet very concise instruction booklet (with pictures i might add). Instructions are crystal clear and even include shortcuts for some of the programming. There is a way to turn off the alarm, which is also clearly outlined in the instruction book. There is a way to swap from 12 hour and 24 hour time, 3 light dimming modes which are great, and the book clearly says if you set the stay in bed time for a time before the current time (i.e. 7:00 PM but it’s 7:15 PM), the red light won’t come on until the next night. Perhaps they’ve recently updated the instructions, I’m not sure. The numbers are clear and not difficult to read unless you are looking down from above the clock at an angle, which is true of most digital clocks I have seen, so not something unexpected for a digital clock display).I have had this for a week and it has worked perfectly so far. Bonus which I didn’t realize is the light part is also a nightlight, only if you want, which you can program for a specific period of time and turn off and on simply by pushing the top. So if it’s go to sleep time and you push the nightlight button, a soft white light shows for whatever period of time you set (say 30 minutes). After the time is up, the light will go back to whatever color it’s supposed to be then (i.e. red).Anyway, this has exactly the functionality described, is easy to use, my son loves it, I love it, and so far nothing has broken and it seems well made. Only suggestions for buyers: read the description, and then if you buy it, read the instructions. Enjoy your sleep!

Great clock, but I wish its nap settings were different
I got this for my son’s second birthday, after a week of 5 am and earlier wake-ups, two months in to having a new baby. My son is good with colors, and I felt like he would take well to it, and he really has! He falls back asleep in the mornings now when he sees the red clock.I read about a lot of other clocks when searching for this, and these are the pros and cons as I see them.Pros:-Red light at night (good for not waking you up), yellow/green colors in morning-Brightness settings are great! It can be made fairly dim, like I wanted, and the light is diffused, not clear or piercing, so it doesn’t wake you up looking at it-the shape, digital display, and alarm options help it grow with your kids, rather than get outdated in a year (but the alarm can be turned off)-wall plug-in with backup batteries (though ours goes dark when it is unplugged, so I think it wouldn’t go green in the morning without power – the batteries just save settings)-price – I found it for $26, which is apparently on the low end for these, though I can’t imagine why they are so expensive-lock feature to keep littles from resetting thingsCons-personally, I wish it had an analog option-backup batteries should work to change the lights in a power outage, but I am pretty sure they don’t-you can’t customize the yellow timer, it is only 20 minutes, which isn’t a big deal, but still…-the nap settings! There is no option for yellow on naps! My two-year old is supposed to be learning that red means go back to sleep, yellow means wait while awake, but his nap fluctuates by 1.5 hours, and it is always either red or green! To start a nap, you set a timer for up to three hours, which is a little tedious to reset each day after unlocking it. Ideally, I would want to set a nap start (red), yellow start, and nap end (green) times.I felt like the nap settings worked well enough for a clock with the pros I listed, but still…it seems like my ideal nap settings would not be too hard to program.

I am satisfied with this product. It is very easy to set up and you can adjust the brightness level and noise. You can choose to have an alarm sound off, or just the lights. My daughter loves it and follows its direction more than mine!I was disappointed by the import fees into Canada. On top of the shipping that I paid when I purchased the product, I did have to pay an additional $26 to UPS upon delivery. I did not anticipate this.When I received the product, the cord was frayed and the connection did not work. I messaged the seller right away to express my frustration as I felt that I paid too much for the product and did not want to deal with UPS and the import fees again. Their customer service team was very responsive and messaged me back right away and immediately send me a new cord free of charge, which resolved the issue. I really appreciated this fast and efficient service.Good product, great customer service, disappointing shipping and import fees.

Love this clock- I used it to tell my 3 year old toddler that the sleep buddy is here to take care of her while she sleeps and mummy goes back to her own room. What used to be 2 hours of lying in bed with her till she sleeps is now a 10-20 mins affair with no tears . Toddler loves the book that comes with it too. Naps are still a struggle but she knows to stay in her room with her sleep buddy till it’s green.. giving adults some respite . Great clock!!
