Smart Light Alright!
These lights are great. The fact that they can change its color and has an app for the cellphone to control home, make these easy to use. Although all 4 lights are connected by 1control box and plug, you can change the colors of each light depending on different occasions, seasons or select a white option for all 4. They can be used indoor or outdoor. They can be used by mounting on walls, trees, fences, etc., depending on which method of connector you choose. The installation took no time for me as I chose to use the garden stakes placing the lights around a tree in my front yard. I like that the connector is waterproof. I canât wait to see what I will be able to do with this set over the holidays.

Lights look nice, but the app is a major turn off
Rrecently bought the Ligency Smart Lights because its so dang dark outside my house, and Iâve been wanting to add some cool, customizable lighting to make it easier to walk up my sidewalk. I have to say, the lights themselves are really pretty! The fact that you can daisy chain them together and only need one outlet is such a nice feature, especially since I hate dealing with a bunch of cords everywhere.Had a terrible experience with the app though. Itâs not intuitive at all, and I got so frustrated trying to set everything up. Even though I followed the instructions perfectly, the lights just wouldnât connect to the app on my phone. After what felt like forever of troubleshooting, I ended up having to borrow a friendâs phone, download the app, log in with my account, connect the lights through their phone, and then log out. Only after that could I finally access the lights through the app on my own phone. Definitely not the smooth setup I was hoping for.The feature that lets you change the colors and make different light patterns is really cool. Iâve had a lot of fun experimenting with it and setting different moods for my house. But Iâm still struggling to figure out a lot of other features, like how to set the lights on a timer. The app doesnât make it easy to understand how to use all the options, and it feels like Iâm always guessing what does what.One annoying thing Iâve noticed is that the lights seem to reset to their default color every morning, which means I have to go back into the app to change them again. Itâs not a huge deal, but it gets tiring when you just want the lights to stay the way you set them.Overall, the lights are nice and make it easier to see my yard, the daisy chaining is super convenient, but the app experience leaves a lot to be desired. I would not recommend these for anybody easily flustered by difficult technology. If youâre willing to be patient and figure out the quirks, theyâre fun to have, but I really hope they improve the app soon!

Nice RGBW+IC Spotlights
I just plugged these in to test them out and play with the Colors. I really like all the different color schemes you get to use within the App. Didn’t have a lot of luck playing with the in line switch that came with it.The lights will play to the online color / music selections that are included in the app. And changing colors was a breeze.The lights seem well built. The ground stakes are ok. Could have been a little thicker. But they will do the job.I like the lights overall. They will be a nice addition to my back or sideyard!!!

Good lights, awful app
These lights are very good but not as bright as my older non smart spotlights. However it still does the job but the app is awful. It took me 30 mins to set up 2 separate lights. The app just continued to boot me off or not see my wifi or the lights. These are as good as the Govee just not as bright but way more affordable.

Awesome low voltage spotlights for holidays.
Using these to add so0me fun color to our house for Halloween and Christmas. I have gotten these in the past, but this one came with an upgraded control box as the app had a lot more functionality that the set i ordered about a year ago. Still not the greatest app interface to control light sequences, but its good enough for simple coloring.

Love these lights
I got several sets of these lights from Ligency and they’re honestly great lights. I appreciate that they use the smartlife app so it integrates with most things. However, I wanted more power/control over my lights so I cut out their controller, installed a WLED controller, and soldered in an x-connect output on the last light so I can string multiple chains together. Overall I’m happy with the lights and would recommend them to others.

Nosey and clunky app only option if you don’t use Android or Alexa
Physically, these are well-made, with sturdy plastic housings and metal brackets. I used them indoors, and I did not use the plastic stakes. The light colors are vibrant. I’m lazy, I didn’t test all 16 million colors. Controlling the lights with the multifunction switch on the cord was random, as far as I can tell. The instructions are to double-click the button to power off, click once to change between scenes, or hold the button down to reset. I live in the Apple ecosystem, so I only used the product’s application. I did not like the application. It asked for permissions that were intrusive and unnecessary to control lights. Using the app, it wasn’t easy to get the right color. Similarly, controlling the patterns wasn’t easy or comprehensive. Perhaps Android or Alexa users will have a better experience.
