Good light but very lightweight construction
This is a pretty cool outdoor light. Seems to be a mix of stamped steel and aluminum with a thin plastic diffuser. Light is very evenly lit with a single tube right down the middle shining through all 4 sides. Great thing is that it does work with an external dimmer. There are some cons about these lights though. Build quality is okay but the decision to use thinner lightweight materials is a concern. The first time someone bumps into this thing it will most likely either get bent or damaged. Also, nothing from the bottom up is really sealed so i am also concerned about bugs getting in there and making a nice little home and you won’t be able to get them out without a full disassembly. Installation is a pretty simple affair of just mounting the bottom base to a flat surface and then attach the lamp body. Overall, this is an interesting concept for a light pole for sure. It looks very unique, gets adequately bright, but the lightweight build is a big concern when you consider durability.

Nice Area Yard Lights
I got these lights because it seemed to give off more light then just a path light would. The light gives off more of a soft white ambient light that is easy to the eyes at night. I like that the metal shell holds the light panels that have just a hint of sparkle to them to make them a nice whimsical yard light. These do have to be put in by an electrician or someone who knows how to wire them in. These will hold up in any weather and still look good. I was so happy that they look good at the front walkway. It matched the description in the ad.

Professional grade 120v light – could not find a UL / ETL listing
This path light is heavy duty when compared to many others. It also lights in all directions so it is more of an ambient area light than a path light. It looks great in the evening with a warm-white light that is easy on the eyes and is welcoming.However, this is powered by 120v which makes the installation a challenge for many – this is not a DIY low-voltage landscape system light. It requires a platform or footing to mount to and all of the wiring should be done by a qualified person to ensure the proper materials are used and circuit protection is installed. If you are qualified, or know someone who is that can install this (or a set of these) for you, this is a great landscape light. A negative is I could not find the UL/ETL listing stamp or sticker anywhere on the light. Per code, it should be listed for its intended use which is a wet / damp / outdoor location. If you need a permit to install these, and they are not UL / ETL listed, the inspector may take issue with their use.

Statement landscape feature that is east to install. The wiring instructions are obscure and simple but easy to install with basic DIY skills. Overall construction is solid and gives off good light.

This SkyGlow outdoor landscape path light is perfect for lighting up the garden path. It provides a nice, warm glow that is pleasant to the eyes at night and makes the space more inviting. Install is pretty straightforward and hassle free. This path light is a good quality unit that is waterproof and built to withstand the many harsh conditions of the elements. For the price and quality, this is a good buy and would recommend.

NOTE: THESE LIGHTS ARE WHITE, just like the ones I received, until I decided to give them a little “upgrade.” I worked some engineering magic and turned them into digital animated art showpieces.- – – – -Of the 3 types I tested, this one was a winner. The tall one put light into the neighbor’s yard, and the little one with the base didn’t provide much light.Still, it looked weird outside by itself.I think they’d make more sense if I had a long walkway I wanted to illuminate with several of them, but my walkways are short and already lit.So.., what to do? Make the best of the situation and get creative!Check out the video clip to see the end result of my efforts…And then ask yourself… Why don’t they sell them like this in the first place?
