Seems Fine, but How Long Will the Battery Last?
I like this chess set, and thought my grandson would enjoy it too since he’s been getting into chess. I was hoping it would help keep him occupied when I had other things to do while babysitting. Unfortunately, he seemed to get frustrated with it, mostly because he wasn’t winning. After awhile he went back to playing with his beloved Lego. He hasn’t played with this set since then. He’s only eight, so I will bring it out again when he’s a little older.I am concerned that it has a built in replaceable battery. I’m not sure how long that will last, and the board probably won’t function after that. I would rather it take AA batteries so I can replace them as needed. Not knowing the longevity, and with no mention of a warranty in the included paperwork, I would be wary of paying $134.99 for this.
