Winner!
I bought both the mantle clock and this smaller clock. The mantle clock was supposed to be “aqua.” It is not even remotely aqua or blue/green. It is a flat, dull green. This little clock is also green, but the gold embellishment and little pearl(?) at the top make it look much nice. The style/shape is very pleasing to me. The numbers are large enough to be seen clearly across a medium sized room. The clock itself is not huge, but it much larger than a small bedside clock would be. The size is overall conducive to being placed in a lot of areas around the house, and it looks good from all angles.I received it early today, and after a few hours use, I can say it is keeping time just fine. Oddly enough, it is heavier than the mantle clock even though the mantle is more than twice the size of this one, which I find remarkable. Up close, this is obviously not a high end clock, but from a distance, it does not look especially cheap. For the price point, this is a great clock, and I have no trouble recommending it.Caveats: Firstly, if you cannot tolerate ticking, then think twice before you order this clock as it does have an audible tick which I find rather comforting. It reminds me of another era altogether. Secondly, if green is not the right colour for your decor, then this clock is probably not for you. It is primarily and overwhelming green, but the distressing, the gold touches, and the little pearl at the top give it enough contrast that it will work for my decor. Thirdly and finally, this is not a bedside/nightstand clock in general. It is a bit large for that placement, so be sure the measurements will work for . you in the area you have in mind for it before you order it. That is only common sense after all, but I am amazed by reviews of so many items where the buyer is “surprised” by the item’s size, and this clock is no exception. I would not describe it as a mantle clock per se, but it would work as a mantle clock on a small mantle in a small to medium sized room. Otherwise, it would be well places on a bookcase or a table top.The upshot is it is a nice product for the price point, and I recommend with the above caveats in mind.

Beautiful and elegant!
We had a mantel clock previously that I loved but it stopped working. When this one arrived, I fell in love again! It is simple, elegant, and the numbers are large enough to read from across the room. So far it has kept time to the minute so we are very happy with it!

A beautiful little clock…
I bought this exact same clock at Hobby Lobby several years ago. When it finally died, I couldn’t believe I found it again on Amazon! I use it on my French provincial desk and it just looks lovely! (Got the green one.) I especially enjoy the large numbers because it’s easy to read when I’m sitting at my desk. (And no, I never remember to look at the clock ON my computer ;))

Wish I had gotten the turquoise…
…I made it work, just wish I would have spent the extra few dollars for the blue/green. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised that weird color divide that shows up on the face of the clock in all of the advertising model photos was not present on mine. I was ok with it I get and love the vintage appeal, just glad its a plain distressed face. Also, the pearl on the center top of mine is not aged/damaged like the pink sample photo. Nice rust distressing on the clock that looks authentic, not pained to look like rust.. it looks naturally aged and is well made. It keeps perfect time. It’s quiet. I cannot find this type of a clock with a second hand and alarm for my nightstand anywhere and get some serious use out of it…wish I could. It’s on a shelf in a staircase. But overall I am pleased.

Beautiful clock but hands were loose
The packaging was great and my clock arrived within 2 days of purchase. The color is not as bright as indicated in the product photo, which is a good thing for me. It’s got much more of an “antique” look to it. The entire back piece comes off to change batteries and set the time. The back piece doesn’t appear to fit very snugly (see picture), but it’s not glaringly noticeable from the front. The size is as indicated. (The lotion bottle in my picture is 6″ tall.) NOTE: This appeared to be the same clock sold by other sellers on Amazon but with a lower price. (Search Amazon for “Aqua Desk Clock.”) As other buyers of *this* one have experienced, I had issues with the hands. When I removed the clock from its packaging the hour hand was freely swinging. Undeterred, I opened the clock’s back to put a battery in. The entire mechanism inside was loose. I left the tags on, sadly prepared to return my pretty new clock. My husband loved the clock too and was determined to fix it instead of returning it. He successfully used a set of jeweler’s screwdrivers and a hot glue gun, and within minutes my little clock was ticking away and keeping accurate time. 🙂

Adds to home decor, prettier than expected and well made. Fairly loud ticking but not so loud that I canât sleep, calming.

Looks and feels like a real antique clock.
I absolutely love this beautiful clock. I bought the antique gold version and from a distance it looks like the real deal. I’m not from Sotheby but have collected antiques for years and this little gem is just a cute replica. It has a metal body, distressed face and a plastic covering for the back. I have it on my bedside table and the numbers are large enough I can see them without my glasses, another plus. I don’t do many reviews onAmazon although I must shop here almost every day, but some things I just have to crow about!

Bought to replace a gold coloured carriage clock with Roman Numerals that was increasingly becoming difficult for my mum to read. This new clock is stunning, very easy to read, keeps correct time and you can hardly hear the tick tick tocking. Mums very pleased and therefore so am I.

Unusual design and vintage looking. Large clear dial..Has worked perfectly since purchase. The colour is a dull green with artificial vintage effects and lattice back. Pleased with it and would buy again.
