i enjoy this show and gave this as a gift to my son who loves to cook, but also likes the “science” of cooking that this show gets into and explains so well.

Worthwhile Viewing….
Folks doing what they know how to do – it doesn’t get any better than this. I like that nothing is absurd or trendy…. no stirring TRUFFLE OIL into everything or insisting that EVERY GREEN VEGETABLE IS KALE. I’ve pretty much got all the DVDs now, and it is just good to wile away a rainy day making stock and letting them roll!

5 Stars for Content and 1 Star for Presentation
You cannot beat the informational and entertaining aspects of the show. However, I still do not understand why the people (PBS?) who releases Cook’s Country and America’s Test Kitchen cannot get the picture aspect ratio correct. The DVDs are never in the original aspect ratio (except maybe for the earlier seasons of America’s Test Kitchen). It is either in a 4:3, a 4:3 letterboxed, or the worse, a 16:9 stretched 4:3!The Season 4 of Cook’s Country DVD is in 4:3 Letterboxed (black bars on all 4 sides of the picture). Come on already! How about producing the DVDs in anamorphic widescreen?

Cook’s Country: Season 4
Have not looked at it in entirety, but enjoyed what I saw so far. Cook’s Country (America’s Test Kitchen) always does a 110% good job of testing all their recipes and coming up with the best-tasting, most nutritious recipes. Love what they do and learn from them all the time. I am a better cook, because of what the wonderful America’s Test Kitchen does.
