This book taught me alot about circuit engineering
I was really nervous that I would not be able to understand this book. I am really interested in Circuit Engineering but I was really afraid it would be very difficult to understand. I decided to buy this book Circuit Engineering:The Beginner’s Guide to Electronic Circuits, Semi-Conductors, Circuit Boards, and Basic Electronics. It has been the best well written easy to follow book I have read about circuit engineering. It has a lot of information about circuits and circuit boards and it makes learning about them very interesting. I was interested in what it taught me about the parts of a computer. I never did understand fully how circuits work and this book taught me on my level all about circuit engineering. I received this book at a discount for an honest review.

Interesting read for an undecided young adult going to College or graduating high school.
This is quite literally an Intro to Electrical Engineering book.It scrapes the surface of everything electronic. It’s a great gift to give a high school student on the fence about engineering or to a freshman in engineering who doesn’t know what field to go into.It covers all the basic discrete components and talks about some aspects of advanced electronics.

Save your time and money!
The English is so bad you can’t understand even the basic equations. It targets beginners, but even gets into quantum field theory! After an exhaustive laundry list of bulleted formulas, many advanced, including integral and differential calculus, it jumps into a few basic circuit projects including a “how to solder” section that is terrible. A bunch of 5 stars indicated they got this free! One said it was “great for a 10 year old” — I can’t believe any of these people actually tried “reading” it???I worked through the entire book and it is a just all over the place. I’m an engineer and was considering Christmas gifts, this is definitely off my list. I paid 3 bucks and wasted my time and money, so if you can get it free, you’ll only be wasting your time! Avoid, many others out there that are much better, including many free forums and free course sites like Coursera.

Nice book!
A friend who graduated in electrical engineering gave me this book to solve electrical circuits in my work. The book is very practical, I recommend accompany the study of electrical circuits with another book to obtain more information, as this book is very brief. I am not convinced about some definitions and diagrams, but there are some examples that are easy to understand. The language is not very technical, is so trivial that the amateurs could use this book.

Incomprehensible
This volume is rated by Kindle as requiring 2.5 hours to read; I gave it a serious half-hour of my time before accepting the fact that I was more confused by it than enlightened. Best example is an early one-the author is describing different types of circuits and distinguishes parallel from series circuits. What he comes up with to distinguish the two could be done almost non-verbally with a simple line diagram, but he chooses to stick to a written description. That description is long, obscure and confusing at best, and could be interpreted as 180 degrees wrong. It is incomprehensible, an adjective that could be applied to much of this book.

Excellent introduction to electronic circuitry. Good underpinning knowledge and detail. Useful as a reference point as you learn. Thank you.

Avoid at all costs. He never uses a single syllable word if he could use 4 instead. A small sample:-“It works depending on a particular signal level. One example is the integrated circuit that enables a computer to perform a multitude of tasks; instead of loading a computerâs structure with a large circuit, it comes to the rescue.”If that is clear to you buy it. It seems to me to be heavily verbose and always goes the longest way to make a point.

I struggled to make sense of this book. It is so badly written it felt like a series of random words just dumped on the page. I question the validity of all those 5 star reviews. I can only assume they must have read a different book!

It reads like a very poor translation from something into English and isn’t very helpful and very confusing for a beginner.
