Turn your pen on, wait for the green light, insert a strand of filament into the back of your pen until you feel it grip. One click of the orange button is all it takes to get the Start+ pen running, and a second click will stop the pen.
Which plastic refills can be used? Is it safe?
The 3Doodler Start+ 3D Pen is only compatible with the 3Doodler Start Plastic filaments which is 2.5mm in diameter. The strands are made from the highest quality materials and have all been subjected to the strictest standards of safety testing.
Is the pen safe for children?
3Doodler Start plastic is warm to the touch when extruded from the tip of the pen, completely safe to touch! Pen tip doesn’t get hot either, so there is no burn risk. Safely use your hands to shape your Doodles to perfection before they harden.

Customer Service: After having this pen for a week, we experienced a problem which we had to contact customer service for. They were extremely helpful and very quick to correct the problem and tell us how to keep it from happening again.Product review: The 3d pen is perfect for kids as it doesn’t get hot and it’s easy to use. It works well for simple projects younger kids can produce but also slightly more complicated projects that older kids may want to create.

So fun!!
Got this for my 8 year old for his birthday and he loved it! Really fun to turn his drawings into real life creations. The creations are very delicate, but could be made thicker (my 8 year old wasnât patient enough to let that happen). The product wasnât sticky to the touch, it softened briefly to build but was easily removed from the piece of laminated paper we used as a mat.

Great kit my daughter loves
My daughter thought this pen was so much fun! I got the used-like new one and it had a problem where the motor didnât work. Heater was fine. Ended up using my spudger, opening the white case, and noticed the motor wasnât plugged in the socket on the pcb, which maybe was why it was returned. Plugged it in and we were in business!

Absolutely awesome gift for kids ages five through 12. Kids can use this to create 3-D artwork. It is a great price but the refill can get costly. It certainly keeps kids entertained that is fun to use. Many kids may start in their stem labs or maker space.

I bought this on Prime Day to give to my 6 year-old grandson on his birthday, because it looked interesting and it the price was right for a toy that could be a fail, but wouldn’t break the bank if it was. He loves it! He loves to draw, but the 3-D effect of this pen fascinates him. I’m back to order more of the filaments (he calls them “candles”).
